ACDS’s Early Intervention program (birth to three years old) is designed to meet the needs of children with a diversity of developmental and learning challenges including Down syndrome and other genetic conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorders, speech and communication delays, neuromuscular disorders, sensory processing dysfunction, and visual and auditory impairments.

The Program is individualized to meet the specific needs of the child and allows for continuity of educational/therapeutic service provision in the Home, Daycare, Facility/Clinic-based and developmental groups utilizing the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Services include Occupational and Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy and Special Education. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a large part of our home-based program and is used as a methodology in all our early intervention developmental groups. Audiological and other evaluations in early intervention are also provided with bilingual services to assist our families. Clinic provides services to children who do not opt for home-based services. For those families who do not have transportation, ACDS provides an ACDS van to transport them between home and school. Parent trainings, support groups and workshops are also available to guide families. Ongoing service coordinators at ACDS are available to guide the families through the early intervention process.
